US government to urge Americans to get new Covid-19 boosters

In the upcoming fall season, The Biden administration is poised to strongly encourage all Americans to consider obtaining a booster shot for the coronavirus. This proactive measure aims to combat a potential resurgence of infections, as highlighted by a statement from a White House official on Sunday.

According to the official, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have documented a rise in both infections and hospitalizations attributed to the virus. However, it's worth noting that the overall infection rates are still comparatively low at this point.

Notably, on Thursday, Moderna (MRNA.O) unveiled promising initial findings. These findings indicate that the updated Covid-19 vaccine developed by Moderna remains effective against emerging subvariants such as "Eris" and "Fornax" in the human population.
