Iranian President Hassan Rouhani says Iran’s retaliation for the killing of General Kashem Solaimani does not hold Iran back in the face of the United States. Rouhani made this comment in a televised speech. The information was reported in a news agency AFP on Wednesday.
US troops remain in retaliation for the killing of Solaimani – a missile attack on two Iraqi military bases. The missile was attacked just hours after the burial in his hometown of Kerman, last Tuesday night.
Tehran claims five US terrorists have been killed in the attack. Washington, however, says no one was killed in the Iranian attack. The US President has said that the country should immediately impose economic sanctions on Iran in response to the attacks.
After the retaliatory attack, Iranian President Rouhani said on television, “If America does commit a crime, then they should know that they will receive a strong response. If they are wise, they will not take any further action in this situation. ‘
However, Rouhani also noted that if Iran’s armed forces retaliate against any other US action, that cannot be said enough. According to Rouhani, the United States must give the real answer to the countries in the region.
In this regard, the Iranian president has said that the US may have cut off Iran’s “hand” by killing Solaimani. In the Middle East, the US ‘foot’ will be avenged.
Major General Kashem Solaimani, head of the Quds Force, a branch of Iran’s influential Revolutionary Guard, was killed in a US drone attack on Friday at Baghdad International Airport in Iraq.
He was killed along with four others, including Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy head of the Iraqi paramilitary forces Hashid al-Shabi. Tensions between Iran and the United States have escalated since the attack.
